UIO - Universal Input/Output Module
The Universal Input / Output module supports 16 supervised inputs and 16 configurable “Form C” relay outputs.  The UIO operates “downstream” from the UIP and communicates “upstream” to the UIP.  Communication from the UIO to any other members of the U2 Family is via 2 RS-485 connections.  Card reader modules are connected to the UIPs or UICs in either a bus or star configuration.  UIO modules can be installed up to 4,000 feet from the UIP host.  Distance can be extended by utilizing approved fiber optic cable and transceivers.

Additional UIO product features:

  • 16 Supervised inputs, each with a tri-color LED & flexible EOL configuration
  • The first 8 inputs are programmable by access control software
  • The second 8 inputs are both programmable and dipswitch selectable to activate the second 8 outputs
  • 8 sets of auxiliary power terminals to support 12V/24V powered devices
  • 16 Relay outputs, each with a tri-color LED
  • The first 8 relay outputs are programmable only: fail safe, fail secure, dry contact and selectable 12VDC in and 24VDC out
  • The second 8 outputs are both programmable or dipswitch selectable
  • Ladder Logic via the web page configuration
